Former UFC Heavyweight Champion
Cain Velasquez has been one of the fastest rising star in MMA, becoming the UFC Heavyweight Champion with only four years of training. Velasquez was already an established high level wrestler coming out of college, which set-up him up with a solid base for MMA. Under the tutelage of Javier Mendez at American Kickboxing Academy, Velasquez quickly learned striking and excelled by winning eight out of his nine fights by knockout. Of course, the biggest win of his career up to this point was when he defeated Brock Lesnar to win the UFC Heavyweight Championship. He now prepares to make his first title defense against Brazilian Junior Dos Santos as the main event of the UFC’s debut on Fox.
